Meet The Coach
My name is Connor Gettemy; I have been a sports performance coach for over a decade. I have been involved with athletics since I was able to walk (and even before then, watching football with my dad as a baby). My first foray into training consisted of doing push-ups and sit-ups in the morning before catching the middle school bus. That has led to nearly a 20-year career in the gym that shows no signs of slowing down. I have come to realize that my time spent in amateur athletics and the weight room has provided me countless positive experiences that have helped mold me into the person I am today. Amateur athletics provide an arena for young boys and girls to cultivate the strength of character they need to become the best versions of themselves. Sports performance training serves as an integral part of maximizing one's experience in amateur athletics. Thus, Gett Strong Performance was born.

The Philosophy.
Our training philosophy involves utilizing ground-based, multi-joint, tri-planar, sport-specific movements to simultaneously decrease risk of injury while increasing athletic ability. We ensure that our programming methodology incorporates every aspect of sports performance including strength, power, agility, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and mobility. We also seek to provide our athletes with the guidance, information, and resources necessary to make educated decisions regarding sports nutrition, recovery, and physical/psychological well-being, thereby empowering them to take ownership of their development both inside and outside of their respective sports.
We believe in "strengthening the individual”. This addresses two major components with regards to athletic performance and life. Physically strong individuals perform better in their sport, enjoy longer careers, and incur fewer
injuries. Individuals that possess strength of character serve society, enjoy success in life, and improve the lives of those around them. At Gett Strong Performance, we do everything possible to help develop boys and girls into young men and women that perform at the highest level possible in their sport and in their lives.
